Classic Paxton Supercharger Power for Carbureted Mustangs

The Paxton NOVI 1200 Supercharger System – Driver Side Mount delivers authentic vintage Paxton performance for classic carbureted Mustangs while fitting cleanly under the stock hood. Inspired by the legendary Paxton-supercharged Shelby GT-350s of the 1960s, this system combines period-correct styling with modern centrifugal supercharger efficiency.

Depending on engine configuration and supporting modifications, this system delivers 30% to over 75% horsepower gains. The included NOVI 1200 supercharger also allows a future upgrade to a NOVI 1500 for higher-output applications.

NOVI 1200 Centrifugal Supercharger Technology

The gear-driven NOVI 1200 centrifugal supercharger provides smooth, progressive boost and excellent street manners. This system uses a 3.7-inch 8-rib supercharger pulley, generating approximately 7.5 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a stock V8 engine.

Driver Side Mount Configuration

This kit features a traditional driver-side mounted supercharger layout. This configuration does not retain factory power steering and is not compatible with air conditioning, making it ideal for classic performance builds focused on simplicity and engine bay aesthetics.

Carburetor Enclosure & Fuel Control

A cast aluminum carburetor enclosure is included to properly pressurize the carburetor float bowls and throttle shafts, ensuring stable air/fuel ratios under boost. Supported carburetors include:

  • Holley 4150 series
  • Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN
  • Demon 650 MD 4-BBL

Carburetors must use mechanical secondaries, .120 needle and seat assemblies, and nitrophyll floats. The enclosure features front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports and multiple pressure/vacuum connections. Throttle linkage hardware is included. When using a Holley carburetor, the 8M011-001 air diffuser is recommended.
