The Paxton NOVI 1200SL Supercharger System delivers modern centrifugal supercharging performance while preserving the timeless look and character of classic carbureted Mustangs. Inspired by the legendary Paxton-supercharged Shelby GT-350s of the 1960s, this system is engineered to fit under the stock hood while providing dramatic power gains.
Depending on engine configuration and supporting modifications, this system delivers 30% to over 75% horsepower increases. The included NOVI 1200SL supercharger also allows future upgrades to a NOVI 1500 for higher-output street or strip applications.
NOVI 1200SL Centrifugal Supercharger Technology
The NOVI 1200SL is a compact, gear-driven centrifugal supercharger designed for smooth, linear boost and excellent long-term reliability. This system uses a 3.7-inch 8-rib supercharger pulley, producing approximately 7.5 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a stock V8 engine.
Passenger Side Mount Configuration
This system features a passenger-side supercharger mount, allowing retention of factory power steering. Battery relocation is required for certain applications:

Carburetor Enclosure & Fuel Control
The included cast aluminum carburetor enclosure properly pressurizes the float bowls and throttle shafts to maintain stable air/fuel ratios under boost. Supported carburetors include:
- Holley 4150 series
- Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN
- Demon 650 MD 4-BBL
Carburetors must use mechanical secondaries, .120 needle and seat assemblies, and nitrophyll floats. The enclosure includes front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports and multiple pressure/vacuum ports. Throttle linkage hardware is included. For Holley carburetors, the 8M011-001 air diffuser is recommended.
