Classic Paxton Supercharging for Carbureted Early Mustangs

The Paxton NOVI 1200 Supercharger System is a modern tribute to the legendary Paxton-supercharged Shelby GT-350s of the 1960s. Engineered specifically for carbureted V8 Ford Mustangs, this polished passenger-side-mount system delivers substantial power gains while maintaining a clean, period-correct under-hood appearance that fits beneath a stock hood.

Depending on engine configuration, this system delivers 30% to over 75% horsepower gains. Designed for street use with room to grow, the NOVI 1200 can later be upgraded to a NOVI 1500 supercharger for higher-output builds.

NOVI 1200 Centrifugal Supercharger Technology

The NOVI 1200 is a compact, gear-driven centrifugal supercharger engineered for smooth boost delivery, excellent reliability, and linear power. This system utilizes a 3.7-inch 8-rib supercharger pulley, producing approximately 7.5 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a stock V8 engine.

Passenger Side Mount Configuration

This configuration features a passenger-side mounted supercharger, allowing retention of factory power steering. Battery relocation is required for certain applications:

  • 1964-1968 Mustang: Battery relocation required
  • 1969 Mustang 351 Windsor: Battery relocation required

Required Battery Relocation Kit: 8N150-010 (sold separately)

Carburetor Enclosure & Fuel Control

The system includes a cast aluminum carburetor enclosure designed to properly pressurize float bowls and throttle shafts for stable air/fuel ratios under boost. Supported carburetors include:

  • Holley 4150 series
  • Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN
  • Demon 650 MD 4-BBL

Supported carburetors must use mechanical secondaries, .120 needle and seat assemblies, and nitrophyll floats. The enclosure features front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports and multiple pressure/vacuum ports. Throttle linkage hardware is included. For Holley carburetors, an air diffuser (8M011-001) is recommended.
