Designed for performance street, track-day, and race applications, this system provides a dedicated catch tank for fluid that may otherwise escape through the differential or axle breather under demanding driving conditions.
High differential temperatures and aggressive track use can cause gear oil to vent from the rear axle assembly. Instead of allowing that fluid to coat the underside of the vehicle or potentially reach the brakes and tires, the CorteX system routes it into a dedicated overflow tank for cleaner and safer operation.

Why Use a Differential Breather Catch Tank?
Extended high-speed driving generates significant heat inside the differential. As temperature and pressure increase, gear oil can be pushed through the factory breather system. On a track-driven vehicle, escaping oil can create more than just a mess. Fluid reaching the tires or brakes can reduce available traction or braking performance.
The CorteX Differential Breather Vent Catch Tank provides a controlled location for vented fluid, helping keep the underside of the Mustang and the racing surface clean while reducing the possibility of oil reaching critical components.
Universal Installation
The kit is designed for user-selected mounting locations and includes 30 inches of -4AN hose along with the necessary AN fittings for the tank and rear-end housing. This flexibility allows the tank to be positioned according to the vehicle's specific suspension, differential, and chassis configuration.
Gen 2 Watts Link Integration
Mustangs equipped with a CorteX Gen 2 Watts Link system can take advantage of an integrated mounting solution for an especially clean installation. The Gen 2 differential cover includes provisions designed to simplify installation of the CorteX differential breather system.
Easy Maintenance
A petcock located at the bottom of the overflow tank allows collected fluid to be drained without tools. This makes inspection and maintenance straightforward between track sessions or during routine vehicle service.
