Well its 2021 and the Whipple 3.8L for the Shelby GT500 is available for pre-order. Whipple Superchargers has finally announced the availability its time to get the biggest, baddest supercharger for your GT500. This all new supercharger is a direct replacement that easily fits in place of the stock s/c on the Ford 2007-2014 Shelby GT500 models. Available as a complete kit or blower upgrade only for customers who already have the 3.0L Whipple. The larger displacement surpasses the previous model 3.0L in volume, efficiency and cooling characteristics. The new Whipple 3.8L Gen5 can produce incredible power levels well into the 2000HP range in race applications. When used as a direct bolt-on replacement system, the new blower gives you the ability to run far higher boost levels than the factory 122ci roots-type supercharger, 2300 or 2650 TVS while dramatically lowering supercharger discharge temperatures and power consumption (hp).

**NOTE: The Gen5 3.8L SC Kit will NOT fit under the factory hood without the K-member spacer kit AND the adjustable motor mounts. Aftermarket hoods such as the Shelby Super Snake Hood will work but requires the adjustable engine mounts to clear the cowling.

The revolutionary new 3.8L Gen5 supercharger features the all new 3/4 asymmetrical rotor design and new housing for incredible power gains. The 3.8L Gen 5 is available in a competition series for the racers, which allows engine builders and racers to build their masterpiece.

The rotors offer a 6% increase in flow efficiency for better boost characteristics. The larger rotors (right) compared to the 3.0L (left) are designed for serious power capabilities.

Whipple 3.0L to 3.8L Swap Kits

Upgrade kits for existing 3.0 Gen 5 owners who want the new 3.8L units include the head unit, intercooler, lid, and engine lowering kit. Upgrade kits are not compatible with gen 2/3/4 supercharger kits. The 3.8 uses the same pulley and bracket system as the 3.0L Gen 5's.
